With traditional dental implants, placement involves surgically inserting the dental implant post, waiting four to six months for the post to bond with the jawbone, and then adding the prosthetic or restoration. However, with a recent innovation we can now offer patients teeth in a day. Do you have questions about the teeth in a day procedure?
Frequently Asked Questions About Teeth In A Day
Question: What if I need to have teeth removed?
Answer: We can do this prior to placement in the same visit. Often, patients that have lost a majority of their teeth may require extraction before receiving a set of implant-retained dentures. Fortunately, we can do this as part of the teeth in a day procedure.
Question: How many implants will need to be placed?
Answer: Often, we can support a full prosthetic will just four implants per arch. They will be specially placed to ensure stability, even for patients that have lost a significant of their jawbone tissue. In comparison, traditional implant dentures may require between six and eight implant posts per arch, which means patients that have lost jawbone tissue due to tooth loss may not qualify.
Question: Can the procedure really be completed in a day?
Answer: Yes! In the course of one day you can receive a full set of lifelike dental implants, helping you enjoy a full smile once again. You will be able to eat a variety of foods again and speak clearly, while enjoying an esthetically pleasing smile that reflects your unique facial structure.
Question: Can anyone qualify?
