A Focus on Patient Comfort

When you feel comfortable visiting your dentist, you feel confident that your smile is in the right hands. To create a welcoming environment and wonderful experience for every patient, we approach every phase of your dental health – whether the initial examination or subsequent visits and treatments – with a focus on your comfort.

We understand that a procedure as extensive as dental implant placement can make you a bit anxious, perhaps even fearful. To help you relax and remain calm during your procedure, we or one of the specialists on our team can provide a variety of dental sedation options to match your unique needs.

Nitrous oxide, or laughing gas, is a mild sedative that is inhaled through the nose via a small, comfortable mask. The gas produces a slightly euphoric, extremely relaxed feeling, and wears off as soon as the mask is removed.

Oral sedation, or oral conscious sedation, is stronger than nitrous oxide, and is taken as a pill or liquid the night and the morning before your procedure is scheduled. Oral sedation produces a deeply relaxed, almost sleepy feeling, though you will remain awake, conscious, and able to respond to the doctor’s questions and prompts.

IV sedation, or intravenous sedation, is the strongest form of dental sedation, and is delivered directly into the bloodstream through an intravenous drip. The effects of IV sedation are profound, producing a detached feeling that eliminates fear and anxiety. Because of its potency, IV sedation is continuously monitored, along with your vital signs and responsiveness, to ensure the utmost safety throughout your procedure.

If you have concerns about COVID-19, we understand. To ensure your health and comfort, we’ve implemented a new medical-grade series of air filters, which capture and destroy viruses, bacteria, allergens, an more from the air in a unique six-stage process.

To make the process of gathering impressions and planning treatment easier, we’ve gone digital! With our 3Shape Trios system, we gather images with a wireless digital scanner, using them to create a detailed 3D model. No need for molds or goopy materials! We also have software that could show what your smile may look like following treatment.
