We know that when you think about your future with dental implants, it immediately brings a smile to your face. Then, however, that smile might begin to fade when you remember that the end result seems very exciting to you but you still have some uncertainties about what goes on from right now up through the end of your adventure with tooth replacement! Our Livonia, MI team understands that you may feel it’s important to seem as though you are informed but what we really want is for you to feel truly educated (and even good) about your plans for your smile. Consider the types of questions and particulars you should be bringing up, if you’ve got any!
#1: Tell Us How You Feel And Why
When you’re heading toward a final decision of choosing dental implants, we want you to feel good about your choice. It’s normal, of course, to experience some little doubts or concerns along the way. When this happens, the issue can take one of two turns. Either you keep your thoughts to yourself (which can cause you to become anxious) or you can talk them over with us, we can remind you of the facts and help you feel relaxed (and you can get back to feeling excited instead!).
#2: Ask Us For Reminders
Maybe you’re feeling a little nervous about having chosen implant dentures over dental implants and crowns. You know you’re making a good choice but you’d really like to review the details. This is perfectly fine. Remember, if you feel a little bit overloaded with new information, it’s completely normal! We’d like for you to keep your thoughts on the final goal of completing your smile with exceptional support and a beautiful, lasting finish. As for a refresh on the conversations we have had, etc., we will always be happy to walk you through the specifics if you’re feeling a little anxious.
#3: Mention Questions About Recovery
Recovering from dental implant surgery requires a bit of time off and being extra kind and gentle to yourself for a little while. So, it’s certainly expected that you might end up with some questions. Though you will receive lots of information from us, we always invite questions both before or after your surgery! Need a reminder or some help with something? Tell us!
