The Biocompatible Titanium Root
This portion is what makes your new teeth so durable and long lasting. The dental implant doesn’t rely on clasps, suction, adhesives, or crowns to stay in place. Instead, a titanium post, screw-like in appearance, is carefully inserted into the jaw. Digital technology helps guide it into the proper angle and position too. The body will accept it as natural root stricture since titanium is biocompatible. This means your new tooth or teeth never slip when you eat or speak, and that your new smile can last for decades to come, or possibly even a lifetime!
Abutments
Once we insert the posts into the smile, we will wait for the placement area to heal, which could take weeks or three to four months. We then attach an abutment to the, which extends above the gum to secure the restoration or prosthetics in place. However, for same day options, like All-On-Four, we could use as little as four specially-placed implant posts and then attach the abutments and prosthetics in the same visit.
Crowns
For an individual one, we will use a crown to act as the visible part of your new tooth. The crown will be made from lifelike and durable materials, like ceramic or zirconia, so we can color match them to blend with your smile and offer a lifelike appearance. You will be able to smile with confidence again and enjoy an attractive smile. You will be able to eat your favorite foods again and speak without difficulty!
Prosthetics
What if you have more than one missing tooth? If so, we could insert multiple dental implant posts into the smile and use them to support a dental bridge or possibly even a full or partial prosthetic. You will be able to enjoy lifelike prosthetics that are secure and durable, and last much longer than traditional removable options.
