Questions and Answers
Question: I’m worried about choosing dental implants because of the surgical procedure. I’m not sure it’s for me but I really want the benefits of implants. What are my options, if any?
Answer: While we can most certainly help you feel better about the surgery by discussing it and explaining anesthesia, etc., you may also wish to consider mini implants. They provide you with a quicker, less invasive option that will require a much briefer recovery period. Ask our team about this soon!
Question: What if my jaw is damaged but I’m not ready to go through with bone grafting? Will mini implants work for me?
Answer: In some cases, even if problems with gum disease or other concerns have impacted your jaw health, thereby leaving you not quite qualified for traditional implants, you may discover that mini implants are an option for you. The only way to find out for sure about your candidacy and different options is to spend time at our practice during a consultation!
Question: So, does this mean that even if my smile isn’t really that healthy right now, I will probably be able to receive dental implants when I select mini implants?
Answer: Not exactly. While it’s true that your existing jaw tissue may be able to successfully support the mini version of this tooth replacement solution, that does not mean we can place them in an unhealthy smile. Whether you’re dealing with cavities, gum disease, or any other type of concern, you will need to go through essential restorative care first to get your smile healthy, prepped, and ready to replace your teeth!
