The Implant Difference
A dental implant is actually inserted into the jawbone, where the biocompatible titanium post acts as a new root. They bond with the bone tissue, securing them for decades to come, and also stimulating jawbone growth to prevent the loss of mass and density that follows tooth loss. As a result, patients avoid the further tooth loss and aged appearance that accompanies missing teeth. Along with replacing an individual missing tooth, our team can also address more advanced cases of tooth loss, securing a full set of dentures!
Traditional
The traditional version relies on between six and eight dental implants post per arch. After the bond with the jawbone, a process called osseointegration, we attach a prosthetic. The denture will be custom-made and consist of an acrylic base that looks like gum tissue, and a full row of lifelike teeth made from materials that can absorb bite forces and pressure. There is usually a wait between placement and the prosthetic placement, which could take between three and four months in many cases.
Same-Day
We also have an option that can be placed in the same visit! With this option, we usually use fewer dental implant posts, often as little as four per arch. We may extract any remaining teeth and then we insert the posts. In the same visit, we attach a prosthetic, so you leave with a full and beautiful smile, no wait with an incomplete smile!
Mini
Sometimes, patients have lost mass and density in the jawbone due to tooth loss. Over time, this loss could mean the jaw simply cannot secure a set of dentures without first undergoing jawbone grafting or ridge augmentation. However, we do have an alternative with mini implants! These are designed to be small and require less jawbone structure to stay in place, offering people with lost mass and density access to a durable and dependable replacement option.
